This five star hotel reveals itself as a heaven of peace, nestled between the city centre of Saint Tropez and the bay of Pampelonne.
Surrounded by olive trees and private gardens, this is the perfect private retreat. There is a stunning pool area and a lovely restaurant.
The fantastic spa uses products based on the hydrolat technique, the result of an essential oil distillation process where microscopic essential oil droplets are suspended in water. All treatments can be done in the hotel bedroom, from 09:00-21:00. Advance reservation is recommended.
Other personalised services on offer include local shuttle transfers to the beach, luggage packing & unpacking service, beach bag, towels & sunglasses at your disposal, dog-sitter, borrowing the hotel's custom-made bicycles, and lawn games.
It is recommended that you book in advance as the hotel gets busy and closes annually from October to April.

Saint Tropez has been synonymous with glamour since sex siren Brigitte Bardot cavorted on its beach in a skimpy bikini, although this pretty fishing village had been luring artists with its pastel coloured buildings and mythical light long before that. For those wishing to go to Saint Tropez by public transport, it requires a bit of effort as it doesn't have a train station- take the train to Saint Raphael and transfer to a bus or ferry across the Gulf. For those driving (or sitting in a bus), be aware that the traffic going into Saint Tropez in high summer can be painful- the water taxi is possibly a better (and far prettier) way to arrive.
The food on offer in Saint Tropez ranges from the truly spectacular, to the spectacularly over-priced. But there are some wonderful restaurants to be found for all budgets, from the stratospheric but magnificent 3-Michelin starred Vague d'Or, to the local's seafood haunt in a shack by the beach, La Pesquiere. We've gone into detail about our favourite restaurants in our Saint Tropez restaurant guide.

Head up the steep hill to the 16th century citadel, where there's a museum and beautiful views over the sea. (This is a lovely place for a picnic and enjoying the afternoon breeze.)There's also the House of Butterflies with thousands of butterflies on display, and the Annonciade museum, one of the longest established modern art galleries in France- you can see works here by Matisse, Bonnard and Signac among others.

Things to Do Nearby
If you fancy some designer shopping, Saint Tropez has some seriously exclusive boutiques- or you can visit the lovely central square of Place des Lices and its charming market for a more low-key spend. Walk up to the church for some of the best sunset views or go for a coastal walk and enjoy the amazing natural heritage of the region. Or just pass the time in a cafe watching the locals play petanque in the square under the plane trees. For a day dripping in Riviera glamour you should really dress up and head to the Saint Tropez Polo Club- or head out on the water with the superyachts by chartering a boat for the day. Kids will adore the Azur Park at nearby Gassin, with a rollercoaster, ferris wheel and waterslides. Finally, water-sports enthusiast will find a second home on Pampelonne Beach- as well as those who like to make themselves comfortable on a deckchair with a magnum of champagne...

Pampelonne Beach is one of the most famous stretches of sand on earth: 5kms of glamorous beach clubs and public beach, watersports and shallow clear water perfect for the kids to play in. See our beach guide for more details.

The Golf Club Saint Tropez is actually located in Gassin, and offers an 18 hole, par 71 course set in countryside of hills, forest, vineyards and sea. It is relatively exclusive and therefore avoids the crowds you often find at other Riviera golf clubs. There is a golfing academy, an executive 9 hole course with driving range, and a spa and restaurant in a spacious, elegant clubhouse reminiscent of a fine Provencal farmhouse. There's also the highly regarded Golfe de Beauvallon further along the coast.

There are some of the finest clubs on earth in Saint Tropez (or at least their price tags will tell you so). When it’s time to get your dancing shoes on, there are three main options, all fairly guaranteed to provide a glimpse of celebrities, if you like that kind of thing. Caves du Roy has been considered the most prestigious club on the Cote d’Azur (and therefore the world) for over 40 years, while the VIP room is another notorious favourite with the jet set. La Bodega de Papagayo is the most lively and the easiest to gain entry to- although its clientele is still the young, the rich and the beautiful. There are also some great bars for people watching, as well as a low-key Irish pub- for full details see our St Tropez nightlife guide.
