Egg-stra special Easter in Saint Tropez
Which Saint Tropez beach clubs are open for Easter 2017?
With the Easter holidays falling on the weekend of Friday 14th of April and temperatures in Saint Tropez already consistently hitting the mid-twenties, it offers a great chance to hop on down to the beach and grab some early season sunshine.
Most of the Pampelonne beach clubs are looking to open on the Easter weekend, with one exception - Manoah Beach Club was unfortunately damaged by fire a few weeks ago and will definitely not be open for the early season. The management have confirmed that they will be working hard to re-open as soon as possible and in time for the full summer season, but in the meantime, all other resorts are confirming they will be opening to welcome Easter guests.
Open all year
Key West beach club and Plage des Jumeaux beach club are the only venues which stay open all year-round, with both opening every day throughout the year. However, both are also popular and family friendly, so book early to secure a table for a wonderful lunchtime get together.

Lunch in town
In town, the early Easter arrivals are already enjoying a few glasses of rosé wine, to the backdrop of beautiful yachts being prepared and cleaned, in readiness for eager owners to arrive. Whilst along the golden stretch of sand at Pampelonne beach, you can already see a number of restaurants have had a spruce-up and are ready for another season. A long, languid stroll and even a little toe-dipping in the beautiful waves at Pampelonne, is a must after enjoying a sunny lazy lunch.

A light snack
If you prefer the beach strolling and sand between the toes to a full-blown lunch and simply want a quick snack, then several resorts are now catering for this and offer snack bars adjacent to the main restaurant. Key West, Nioulargo and even the infamous Club 55 beach club, all have smaller bites available in reduced-priced snack bars. However, if you have the time, the budget, the inclination and a few friends in tow, what better way to enjoy your Easter lunch, than kicking back in one of the beach-front bars and indulging in a proper French 3-hour lunch, with the sun glinting on the waves.

Who stays open...
Many of the resort beach clubs would usually close again after Easter and re-open later in April, towards the end of the month, or even wait until early May, before staying fully open for the summer season. Many this year are opening full time from Easter onwards, so expect to see the beach filling with locals and tourists alike as the early season sun-worshippers get out in earnest.

The infamous Club 55
Under new management from last summer, Nioulargo beach club boasts a sophisticated restaurant and clientele, which also welcomes families and offers live entertainment on weekends. Key West beach club offers a traditional menu, but being open year-round is very popular with locals and sometimes difficult to get a decent table without booking ahead. The infamous Club 55 has an extremely welcoming vibe, with small bar area to enjoy a drink before sitting to eat, along with some comfortable sofas in the sunshine. But if eating, expect a suitably higher bill than other beach resorts as celebrity-spotting has its price.

Party time
If you are in the mood for a ‘cracking’ Easter party, then hop along to Nikki Beach or Bagatelle beach club, where the music can be heard pumping out before you reach your destination. Both cater for the party crowd and as such, think twice if you have children in tow as they may refuse access to customers with kids. There are many quieter and family friendly beach clubs at either end of the beach. Check out our list of beach resorts with restaurants to select the best suited to your needs.
Under new management
Also under new management from last season is Riva Plage beach club, which has an updated colour scheme and a newly designed layout. The menu here is very good and the chef ‘Teddy’ who was previously in Cannes caters beautifully for seafood lovers. Riva is fantastic for people looking to eat, drink and relax in the sunshine with the DJ playing soothing chill-out lounge music. The service here is also first class, so ask Joel the Director for a special table and let them take care of your every need.

The living legend
Finally, Pampelonne would not be the same without the legendary Moorea Beach club, which will also be opening for Easter. Like many locations along the beach it offers great food, fantastic relaxed bar areas, along with wellness treatments and a boutique shop. Yes, these can also be found in other establishments, but Moorea has been around since the 1950’s and they do it in style. If you are lucky enough to enjoy a late-night party here, then it could be the highlight of your Easter break.
