Timed to coincide with the 83rd birthday of Saint Tropez' most famous resident, a new statue of the 1960s sex symbol, Brigitte Bardot will be inaugurated on 28th September 2017.

The creator, Italian erotic artist Milo Manara, is currently working on the clay model for the bronze statue that will be placed in Place Blanqui, in front of the Musee de la Gendarmerie et du Cinema, facing the iconic Hotel de Paris. Visiting Manara's studio in Italy Brigitte Bardot's husband, Bernard d'Ormale, has overseen the final touches to the clay model, ensuring that every detail is correct. Seated in a Botticelli-style giant shell, Bardot looks every bit the innocent sex symbol that captured the hearts of cinema-goers in the 1956 film And God Created Woman.

The sculpture will be revealed to the public on 28th September 2017, on Bardot's 83rd birthday.
