In some areas of the Var and Alpes-Maritime regions it is now possible to buy diesel for close to 1€ per litre.

This fall in fuel prices is mainly due to the fall of prices of crude oil. This week is the 12th consecutive week of decline of oil price and it is now at its lowest level since late January 2015.

Unleaded petrol prices have dropped even more sharply, falling to their lowest level since February this year. Crude oil prices have again fallen sharply last week, and are now at their lowest levels since 2009.

If you want to know what is the cheapest petrol station around you, you can find that info of governmental informational site: www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr
