Fete du Vin Cuit, Le Plan de la Tour

Traditional festival celebrating Vin Cuit, a sweet Provençal wine

Imprint
Updated

The event marks the time when the grapes are pressed and the resulting juice can be tasted. You can witness the traditional way of pressing and participate in a popular lunch.

The Vin Cuit is drunk at the traditional Provençal Christmas Eve dinner to accompany the "Treize desserts" or 13 desserts, a typical assortment of sweets that ends the meal. It is made by boiling the grape juice and reducing it by half, then adding some more juice to start the fermentation process.
