Star drops sale price of his Plan de la Tour estate
According to lifestyle and real estate magazine, Capital, the American actor Johnny Depp has knocked a cool €15 million off the asking price for his Plan de la Tour villa, near to Saint Tropez.
Originally on the market for €50 million, the Pirates of the Caribbean star seemed determined to make his millions by selling this 15-hectare estate in the beautiful area of Plan de la Tour, just 30 minutes from Saint-Tropez. However, after a year on the market and no apparent interest in the property, it looks like Johnny Depp has finally seen sense and dropped the price to a more manageable €35 million.
Although still an astronomical amount it seems more within the realms of possibility than the previous sale price. The actor's most recent film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, number five in the movie series that sees him embrace the loveable character of Captain Jack Sparrow, has just been released in cinemas and is already receiving rave reviews from fans.
