One of the most anticipated events of the Saint Tropez summer calendar, Fight Night sees some of the world's best combat sport athletes arrive in the South of France.

The 2016 event which took place last week, also saw the legendary Mickey Rourke attend as their guest of honor. Himself an ex-boxer, Rourke is passionate about all combat sports and was clearly in his element as he enjoyed the show alongside his fellow spectators and fight fans.

The 63-year-old actor delivered a mind-blowing performance in 2008 where he played a boxer in the film The Wrestler, gaining an Oscar nomination in the process. Although he is probably best remembered for his boyish good looks in the 1986 erotic film 9 1/2 weeks with Kim Basinger. Since then the eccentric actor has been better known for the plastic surgery on his face which appears to have gone slightly wrong.

His fellow spectators included French comedians Vincent Lagaf and Bernard Montiel as well as the actor Said Taghmaoui who starred in the 1995 film La Haine. Ex-footballer David Ginola and his daughter Carla also enjoyed the show.

After the final battle of the night where Yohan Lindon, aka The Lumberjack, retained his world champion title after defeating Croatian Danijel Solaja, Rourke climbed into the ring to congratualte Lidon and to join the celebrations.
