After a quiet winter season, the town of saint Tropez slowly begins to wake up and set her sails in time for the start of the 2017 sailing season.

The 40th edition of the Festival Armen is due to take place from 3rd to 12th March 2017, when around 300 sailors will descend upon our pretty port town. A rather unusual affair this event combines sailing with skiing and wintersports as well as art. Kicking off 4th & 5th March with a round trip to Cavalaire-sur-Mer, and on 11th & 12th March more sailing in the Gulfe de Saint-Tropez. A ski slalom events will take place on the slopes of Isola 2000 on 10th March. Finally, an art contest, including painting and sculpture, will be hosted throughout the time in Saint Tropez, with the theme of 'sirens'.

Straight after the Festival Armen the Societe Nautique de Saint-Tropez will be hosting the 8th edition of 'Au Large de Saint-Tropez'. From 18th March, three classes - "Solitaire" 400N "Double" 600N "Crew" 900N - will compete in this great offshore race.

As with every year the course will be chosen according to the weather conditions, so the race committee will define the order of the circuit which must include: Southern Balearic Islands, Lower Sardinia, Pontine Islands and North Corsica before coming back to Saint-Tropez.

Get ready to hoist those sails, climb aboard and get ready for another amazing sailing season in Saint Tropez.
